 Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies
Hi [First Name], please join us in August for two ribbon cutting ceremonies celebrating the largest expansion of the Santa Ana Public Library system in 50 years – Delhi Library Branch and Jerome Park Outdoor Library. These projects were funded through the federal American Rescue Plan Act. Each ceremony will be followed by a special family performance starting at 5:00 p.m.

Newhope Library Under Renovation
The Newhope Library is currently under renovation. Highlights of this renovation include a new glass storefront-style entrance and lobby, a brand-new Innovation Center with upgraded technology for STEM learning, a fully renovated outdoor patio with new seating and shade structure, and a fully modernized interior. Newhope Library is expected to reopen in Spring 2026. Visit our website to see all locations for the library services available in the city.

Tote-ally Bookish
Celebrate Book Lovers Day at the library by coloring your very own book tote bag. "Tote-ally Bookish" invites kids to express their love for reading through art by decorating a tote bag that’s perfect for carrying all their favorite books.
No registration required, materials are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chicano Heritage Educational Celebration
Join us for an Educational Celebration that will feature an Author Hour presentation with local author Luis F. Fernandez and a Chicano History Walk Photo Exhibit. Luis F. Fernandez will sign copies of his book, Mexican American Baseball in Orange County, and have a meet and greet with attendees. Giveaways will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. The photographic exhibit will highlight the Chicano community experience in Santa Ana from the 1950s to today. This powerful collection invites you to walk through living history—exploring the everyday lives and achievements of the Chicano community. Through these photos and stories, you’ll see how the Chicano community has helped shape the City of Santa Ana and how life has changed over the years.
